A Permanent Porcelain Crown in One Visit
A porcelain crown used to mean two appointments, two rounds of numbing, and two weeks walking around with a temporary. We never saw the logic in that.
Same-day crowns change everything, and they are a cornerstone of the digital dentistry Chattanooga patients now drive to Hixson for.
How It Works
It starts with a digital scan. Instead of putty and trays, our Trios 5 scanner glides over your tooth and creates a precise 3D model in seconds. No gagging. No messy impressions.
That model goes straight to our design software, where your crown is shaped to match your surrounding teeth perfectly. Then our Roland mill carves the crown out of a solid block of porcelain while you wait.
About the Waiting Part
This is the longest part of the visit, and it is also the most peaceful. While the mill works, you relax. Bring headphones, catch up on a show, or just close your eyes. There is no discomfort, just a machine doing precision work a few feet away. Nervous patients love this part: our Viture Pro XR glasses turn the wait into a movie.
Once the crown is ready, we seat it. Adjust the fit. Check your bite. Polish it until it blends in naturally.
You walk out with a permanent porcelain crown in about two hours.
